Crash course in Chinese culture at FHNW Olten! Hans Hofer, a Swiss numismatist, presented the fascinating forms of ancient Chinese coins from his valuable collection and gave insight into the development of trade in the history of China. Furthermore, Professor Fan Neifer-Yang introduced the participants to Chinese calligraphy. Participants learned the basic structure of the Chinese characters and practiced to write their names in Chinese. Mouth-watering Chinese cuisine was the icing on the cake of this successful evening.
