As a delegate, you will take part in both a preparatory seminar in Switzerland and an unforgettable study trip to China, including visits to Beijing, Shanghai, and the Greater Bay Area. Is China Ahead?

Across three strategic fields, Future Health, New Work and Zero Emissions, our participants explore China’s innovation ecosystems, industries and society. They develop questions and hypotheses in Switzerland, test them through company visits and academic exchange in China, and return with new perspectives on the future of Swiss industry.
The journey is not only about understanding China. It is also about taking a closer look at Switzerland, our strengths, our challenges and the choices ahead.

Insight China 2026/27 will explore four dynamic hubs across China, each offering unique insights and opportunities: Beijing Hub, Shanghai Hub, Chongqing Hub, Greater Bay Area Hub

Your Contribution

The International Student Projects (ISPs) offer international, interdisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities for final-year students at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW).

As a delegate, you will:

  • Work individually or in groups.
  • Write a paper related to this year’s theme, based on:
    • Your own research.
    • Insights from the Seminar in Switzerland.
    • Experiences gained during the Seminar in China.
  • Compensation – Successful student delegates receive 5 ECTS. Module allocation according to individual degree programme.

Costs

Participation Fee: CHF 2,800
Includes: Round trip flights, accommodations, in land transport
